Children should be referred to appropriate
professionals (Licensed Professional
Counselors, Licensed Child Psychologists,
Psychiatrists, etc.) to meet any concerns
discovered during an evaluation. Evaluation
should include:
- Developmental Level
- Educational History
- Emotional well-being
If children seem to be coping well, not
suffering from any severe mental health
disorders, and are relatively stable, they
should be referred to a support group
program for children impacted by
parental addiction. |
